Mill View stables is a high quality livery yard near Aldbrough, on the East Riding of Yorkshire coast, south of Hornsea. It is owned and managed by Naomi Turner who has worked in the equine industry for over 15yrs with vast experience in many areas. Naomi is a skilled event rider and is passionate about classical dressage and correct biomechanical movement.

Naomi Turner’s career has taken her all over the UK working with horses. From Shetlands to 5* event horses. She started out as an event groom for South African rider Alexander Peternell. Grooming for him at competitions at home and internationally, as well as helping to run his 50 horse yard and exercise the horses. After the South African yard Naomi went to work for Dag Albert, a member of the Swedish Olympic event team. Where she groomed under the Swedish flag at many prestigious events, such as the world equestrian games, Badminton and Burghley. At the Swedish yard, Naomi was responsible for the care of horses at the top level of the sport. Making sure every need was met and the yard was kept to the very highest standards.

After leaving high level competition yards Naomi wanted to gain knowledge in other areas of the industry and when to work at Harewood House. There she worked at a Rehab yard, as well as event grooming. Here Naomi worked with and trained many horses with a wide range of behavioural problem. Starting the foundation of her widely recognised reputation for helping horses and their owners with behaviour problems.
Following the Rehab yard, Naomi went on to have sole charge of a show jumping yard for some rich amateurs, this gave Naomi the extra skills to go it alone.
In 2016 Mill View Stables was founded. After years and years of sweat, blood and fails, the dream of owning her own yard was finally here.
The aim Naomi had for Mill View Stables was to run a high quality livery yard, specialising in eventing and rehab/retaining. With the horse being at the very centre of every aspect of care. Naomi is very passionate about whole horse care and giving horses comfort and a high quality of life.

To ensure high standards are maintained Naomi takes part in continual professional development (CPD). This not only keeps her up to date with any advancements in the industry but helps Naomi expand her knowledge and continuously improves the lives of the horses in her care. Naomi has taken part in 2 Full horse dissections, numerous conferences, anatomy and biomechanics courses and trains with top international trainers.
