Mill View Stables is a quiet yard with a capacity of 12 horses. The stables are housed in a large spacious barn. Being an indoor yard it is perfect for the British winter. It is cosy and warm. Making it feel like an ark against the wind, rain and cold. Keeping all our horses happy in those tough months.

In the summer the barn provides a cool shady spot, where you can get out of the sun and be with your horse. Inside the yard we have many facilities for customers to enjoy such as hot/cold horse shower, tie bay, indoor turnout pen, kitchen, washing machine, rug room and tack room.

The yard is always kept to the highest standards which allows each customer to enjoy all the facilities to the fullest .
Mill View Stables has around 8 acers of grazing. We turnout all year long, so there is no danger of your horse being stuck inside of weeks on end. In the summer we turn the horses out 24/7. We do this to encourage as much natural behaviour as possible, such as grooming, playing and stress reduction. We turn our horses out in mixed groups depending each horse’s requirements. We will never leave a horse on their own or isolate a horse. Groups depend on which horses are friends or for weight management. Mill View Stables takes care of all field management, so there is no poo picking to do or waters to fill. This allows each customer to enjoy their horse to the fullest.

Mill View Stables has a 20 x 40 outdoor school with flood lights. The school has a lovely sand and rubber surface. This allows your horse to work in the top of the surface, without being too deep. Avoiding strain to the soft tissue structures of your horse’s body.

When the ground is good customers can ride in any of the empty paddocks. This is where we often host our group activities, as there is more space. Activities includes pole clinics, jumping, pony games and assault courses.

There is hacking available at Mill View Stables. Ranging from 20 mins to 3hrs. There is a lot of road work, but on the longer rides you can get to fields and tracks or the beach. We hack out a lot in pairs and groups so if you are feeling anxious about hacking on the road or don’t want to go alone, there is always someone to ride with. Everybody here at Mill View is kind and supportive, so don’t be afraid to ask for help with your horse.
Mill View stables is staffed 24/7 as the owner lives on site. This ensures the highest levels of care and allows customers to feel their horse and belongings are safe and secure. Being staffed 24/7 also allows an incredible support network. Whether a horse has a chronic illness that need attention at all hours, a sudden injury to horse or rider or if something is accidently broken. There is always someone to help.

Here at Mill View Stables the environment and atmosphere are one of the key pillars of the yard’s success. We tailor for the needs of both horse and owner, as well as the collective group of our Mill View community. We want to nurture a kind and supportive atmosphere, where its ok to ask questions and try to understand our horses on a deeper level.
We are a genuinely encouraging community, that only wants each member to reach their goals with their horse. Whether that be to have an enjoyable stress free hack, go hunting for the first time or reach their highest competition aspirations. We want everyone to do well and be happy.
